A Message From The Weald Club For The Disabled

We are a small friendly group run by volunteers who meet on alternative Fridays at The McCabe Centre for fun and food.

If you have disabilities in any way no matter how minor and live at home or with relatives, we would love you to join us. Transport can be provided in our bespoke minibus and there is an escort on board who can help with any mobility problems.

We start the day at around 10.30am with Tea / Coffee and biscuits and a time to chat followed by a two-course lunch. (special diets can be catered for)

After lunch there are optional games such as bingo and a raffle.

We charge a small fee of £4 to help cover the costs.

From time-to-time outings are arranged such as visits to garden centres for lunch and shopping/ river and seaside trips and historical places.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with serving meals and clearing up afterwards. We are also looking for an occasional driver. A free meal is provided for volunteers.
