Temporary Road Closure – A274 Wheeler Street, Headcorn – 13th May 2021

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on A274 Wheeler Street, Headcorn from 13th May 2021, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, with estimated completion by 15th May 2021.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Knowles Gardens and Orchard Gardens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A274 Biddenden Road, Headcorn Road, North Street, A262 High Street, Sissinghurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, The Common, Camden Hill, Rocks Hill, Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, High Street, Station Road, Maidstone Road, Staplehurst Road, Linton Hill, B2163 Heath Road, Plough Wents Road, A274 Maidstone Road, North Street, Sutton Valence Hill, Headcorn Road, Mill Bank, North Street, High Street, Station Road, Wheeler Street and vice versa.

Please note, a diamond symbol will be displayed on the signage relating to the above diversion route.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bellmouth resurfacing works are undertaken by Barkemp Construction Ltd.
